Bitten: True Medical Stories of Bites and Stings
by Pamela Nagami M.D.
I’m back to working full time, so bring on the book reviews!
As intrepid readers will recall, I was less than thrilled with the previous book by the author (The Woman with a Worm in Her Head: And Other True Stories of Infectious Disease), but this time, I was pleasantly surprised how much more I enjoyed this book.
Bitten explores the various critters that bite and the consequences of such bites. Only once does Dr Nagami inject herself and, unlike the previous book I read, I wish she had given more personal insights since she’s an infectious disease specialist.
This book was an easy read, and again, the digital version was great. I give this book four stars out of five. Well worth reading if biting critters is your interest.
